Employees of Vector Control Operators would have to be licensed as Vector Control Technicians or certified as Vector Control Workers to conduct any vector control activity.

What documents do I need to apply for a Vector Control Technician licence?
To apply for a Vector Control Technician licence, the following documents are required:
(a) NRIC/Employment Pass/Work Permit/S-Pass/Dependent pass (minimum 18 years old) (also required for renewal)
For Employment Pass/Work Permit/S-Pass/Dependent pass holders, please submit the QR code details in the stipulated format using the new SGWorkPass app. More information on the QR code details and the new SGWorkPass app is available at www.mom.gov.sg/sgworkpass.(b) Prepare a photo ID meeting NEA's requirements:
i. Recent coloured digital photograph with white background
ii. Dimension of 35 mm wide by 45 mm high
iii. Showing full face with visible upper shoulders and uniform lighting exposure
iv. No filter or modification of the face
v. Image file in jpg, jpeg or png file extension and no more than 5 MB(c) Highest Educational Qualification Certification (Completed GCE 'N' Level passes or equivalent). If you do not meet the educational requirement, you may provide supporting documents such as testimonial/employment letter from the employer, etc. which include the field of work related to vector control and the duration of employment of the applicant, and it should be within three years from the date of application, where possible.
(d) Joint ITE – NEA Certificate in Pest Management.
Documents can be uploaded in the “Supporting Documents” section towards the end of the online application.

Payment can be made after the application has been approved. -
How soon can my application be processed?
We will respond to you within 7 working days of your application submission. Please respond to any clarifications and submit the necessary documents as soon as possible. Your application will only be processed upon complete submission of all the required documents. Your application may be deemed unsuccessful if any outstanding documents and/or clarifications are not submitted within 3 months from the date of your application. -
How can I receive my Vector Control Technician Licence?
The electronic Vector Control Technician licence (e-licence) will be emailed to you. Please ensure that you have provided a valid email address in your application. -
What should I do if my computer hangs while I am making payment?
If your computer hangs before reaching the acknowledgement page, your payment is considered to be unsuccessful. You may verify that there is no deduction from your Bank Account through Internet Banking. Thereafter, proceed to make payment again. -
What documents do I need to apply for a Provisional Vector Control Technician licence?
New applicants may apply for a provisional VCT licence to perform vector control work while undergoing training for the Joint ITE-NEA Certificate in Pest Management A provisionally licensed VCT should quickly complete and attain the Joint ITE-NEA Certificate in Pest Management as soon as possible within their provisional licence validity to apply for a full VCT licence thereafter. The provisional licence may only be renewed once before its expiry. Strong justification and supporting documentation to show proof of enrolment or attendance of the joint ITE-NEA Certificate in Pest Management, are required for renewal.The following documents are required,

- What if I have to replace my licence?
Please send the following items:
(a) Letter stating the reason for replacement. If you have lost your licence, it is recommended to make a police report.
(b) Copy of NRIC/Employment Pass/Work Permit/S-Pass/Dependent pass
(i) For Employment Pass/Work Permit/S-Pass/Dependent pass holders, please submit the QR code details in the stipulated format using the new SGWorkPass app. More information on the QR code details and the new SGWorkPass app is available at www.mom.gov.sg/sgworkpass.
(c) A recent digital coloured passport size photo (with white background). Prepare a photo ID meeting NEA's requirements.A replacement fee of $20 may be will be required upon approval.
