- Do I need to apply for this licence in order to carry out fumigation work?
A Fumigator Licence from the National Environment Agency (NEA) is required to carry out fumigation work in Singapore by means of Methyl Bromide, Hydrogen Phosphide or Hydrogen Cyanide. A Fumigation Permit from NEA will also be required for each fumigation work to be conducted. - What are the requirements of a licensed fumigator?
The requirements for an individual to apply for a Fumigator Licence are:
a) have undergone a continuous 18-month period of apprenticeship with an established fumigation company;
b) have passed GCE `O' level;
c) be certified medically-fit;
d) be adequately trained in first-aid; and
e) have passed a written examination conducted by the National Environment Agency (NEA). - What are the approved fumigants in Singapore?
Methyl Bromide, Hydrogen Phosphide and Hydrogen Cyanide are the approved fumigants in Singapore. - Can foreign fumigator licence being converted to Singapore fumigator licence?
A foreign Fumigator Licence cannot be converted to a Singapore Fumigator Licence. Each individual must comply with the stipulated requirements for a Fumigator Licence issued by NEA, including passing the examination conducted by NEA, before they can apply for a licence - How much does this licence cost and how long is it valid?
The Fumigator Licence costs $170 per fumigant and is valid for one calendar year. - What are the payment modes available to make payment for this licence?
