Application Details

Under the Massage Establishments (ME) Act, the licensee of a licensed ME(Cat I, Cat II and Provisional Cat I) is required to seek the prior approval of the Licensing Officer before the employee is allowed to work in the Massage Establishment.

2. Who can be an applicant?

3. What are the supporting documents that needs to be submitted?
   If the employee is not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, a copy of the employee's work pass must be submitted together with the application via GoBusiness Licensing.
   
   If the employee is applying to be a qualified masseuse/therapist, a copy of the relevant recognised certification must be submitted together with the application via GoBusiness Licensing.
   
   Applications submitted without all the relevant supporting documents will be rejected.
4. Can I submit my application if I do not have all the required supporting documents at the point of application?
   No, all applications submitted with incomplete or incorrect supporting documents will be rejected immediately.
5. Do I have to pay the application fees again for the resubmission of the application if my application is rejected?
   Applicants will be required to pay any application fees payable for all resubmission of applications.
